First time on our blog? Welcome. Frequent visitor? Glad to have you back!

Today is a good day to discuss a treasure- BLOOD. Did you know that the human blood contains small amounts of gold?

The human body has about 0.2 milligrams of gold that is mostly found in the blood. Although, this is not enough to make you the richest person alive pennywise, it is more than sufficient in explaining how precious this fluid in your body is. Blood, though common, is also rare because demand outweighs supply as there are very few donors available.

However, if you are wondering how to boost your blood level, then try foods high in iron- liver and organ meats, beef, broccoli, spinach, green beans, cabbage. Additionally, an increase in the intake of folic acid, a B-complex vitamin, is required to make red blood cells. Some good food sources of folic acid are green leafy vegetables, peanuts, bananas, broccoli and beetroot which is high in folic acid as well as iron, potassium and fiber.

Asides preserving and boosting your blood level for yourself, it is important to know that someone someday may need your treasure to stay alive and when the need arises, we encourage you to decide to give this treasure and save lives.

Remember: you are gold, your blood has gold and your blood is gold. Protect it, boost it and voluntarily give it to someone whose life depends on it.
